NEW LAW - Child Booster Seat Requirements Effective Jan. 1, 2012
On October 4, 2011 Governor Brown signed into law SB 929 to change child booster seat requirements. Effective Jan. 1, 2012 the new requirement is that children under 8 years of age, unless they are 4' 9" or taller, must use a booster or car seat.
