SVUSD serves students that have high intellectual potential or extremely high achievement. Students are referred to the GATE program by parents and teachers for assessment to determine if they qualify for services. The GATE program targets the top 2 to 3% of the student population. At the elementary sites the identified students receive direct services. In middle school and high school students will have their instruction differentiated or may enroll in honors or advanced classes.
